University Blvd.) offers the most flexible hours, including Saturday appointments from 9am–3pm. Same-day appointments are also available at all locations.

Urgent care treats conditions that require prompt attention but are not immediately life-threatening — such as infections, minor injuries, sprains, UTIs, and flu-like symptoms. Dr. Darrell S. Parsons, MD, ABIM, is a board-certified internist at the Westview Medical Clinic (1220 West University Blvd.). Dr. Parsons focuses on preventive medicine, cardiology, endocrinology, nephrology, and rheumatology. He is fluent in Spanish and available Monday–Friday 8am–5pm.
Internists manage a wide range of complex and chronic conditions, including diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, high cholesterol (hyperlipidemia), thyroid disorders, rheumatoid arthritis, kidney disorders, and respiratory and pulmonary conditions.
Patients with chronic conditions typically benefit from visits every 3–6 months, or as directed by their provider. Annual wellness visits are recommended for all adults, even those who currently feel well.

For most women ages 21–65, a Pap test is recommended every three years. Women with a history of cervical cancer, abnormal Pap results, HIV, or a compromised immune system may need more frequent screenings. Your provider will recommend a schedule based on your individual health history.
A clinical breast exam is generally recommended every 1–3 years starting at age 20, and annually after age 40. A monthly breast self-examination (BSE) is also advised for all women. If you notice any new changes in your breast tissue, contact your provider right away.
Our women’s health providers diagnose and treat a wide range of gynecologic conditions, including cervical and ovarian health concerns, STIs/STDs, incontinence, menstrual irregularities, and more. We also provide preventive screenings for breast and cervical cancer.

It has the most flexible hours of all Make You Well, First Physicians locations — open Monday–Friday 8am–6pm and Saturday 9am–3pm — and accepts walk-in patients. On-site lab and X-ray services are available.
